Heat Pump HVAC is truly the only way to size the HVAC system properly for our climate. We have proudly never installed a furnace unless it is a heat-only home. Think about this… let’s say you keep your home at 70 degrees. Our standard low temps and high temps are 40 and 100 depending on the season. That is a 30-degree difference. The way furnaces are sized to match AC is 20k BTU heat with 12k BTU cooling. The math doesn’t add up. Technology has come a long way with heat pumps and provided nearly perfect comfort. Having said that, a proper load calculation should be performed. We will discuss this in another blog regarding the HVAC 2.0 process. But fear not of heat pumps.
